Wiring Detail For Stereo ????????? 2001

I bought a stereo on E-BAy out of a 2001 S40 Its the AM/FM Cassette with CD controls and built in equalizer.Volvo Part # 3533741-1.Unfortunatley it did not come with the pig tail wires for it so I have no idea how to hook it up.The dealer has the whole wiring harness for over $100.00. Also this may all be for naught as I noticed it has a spot to plug in an amp and I was going to install it without a amp Is This Possible. I want to install it in my 1989 740 turbo Wagon
