Purchasing 262 Bertone 1978 200 1978

Hi,

I may have a good deal ($600) on a 1978 Bertone 262. The only disclosed problem thus far is a vague manual transmission problem. I'm unfamiliar with 262s, but quite familiar with 240 series. What should I look for and be aware of with the 262s? How common are 262 manual transmissions? Did Volvo use the same trannys in 262s as they did in 240 series during those years?
