It is not that hard or dangerous. You have a black wire for the power antenna, a hot wire or two and a ground. Then you have wires for all concevable speakers. While it looks confusing to me too, my kid just dopes them out by quick trial and error listening for the speaker location and labelling each wire as he goes. You have to use wire crimp connectors. If you were installing an aftermarket unit you could toss the amp. Not sure about the Volvo units.
