940 Driver's Seat Removal 900 1993

So I'm driving home from work last night, fidgeting with my wedding ring which gets loose when it's cold out. Anyway, the thing slipped off of my finger and went under the driver's seat. I looked for it when I got home, but couldn't find it. I know it's under there somewhere, but there sure are a lot of nooks and crannies! I looked at the Haynes manual and the job seems pretty straightforward, but I was wondereing if anyone who's done this before had any additional tips for me. Isn't the crash sensor for the airbags under there somewhere? Should I disconnect the battery?

I'll be doing this job tomorrow. Any help or encouragement would be appreciated. Needless to say, my wife was somewhat skeptical when I told her what had happened.

Thanks in advance,

Andy De Block
