Engine cut out and won't run 900 1995

You didn't say if the engine would crank when trying to start. Did the engine just quit or coast down? What are the codes[Refers to the Diagnostic Troube Code (DTC)located probably on the drivers side(black rectangle box with one black wire on the outside)] from the check engine light? These codes should give you and idea where to start looking for the problem. If the engine cranks do you get spark at the plugs? Need some additional facts before I can go further. Hope to hear from you soon.

This refers to the DTC for OBD I not OBD II. I'm not sure when the OBD II was used around 95 or 96 I suspect. Anyhow for the OBD I ,insert the black wire with the connector into the 2 socket and press the button(about 3 seconds) and read off the codes. If there is more than one code you will have to press the button one time for roughly 3 seconds for each code. If by some chance your car has the OBD II diagnostics you need more help than I can give you right now.
