scraping noise from front shock 200 1991

Hi Chris,
I would say that the noise is both a scrapping noise and a creaking noise. I'll probably grease both the inner tie rod and the control arm. Do the 240s have a similar control arm bushing problem to the 700 series?

I have been using Phil Wood bike grease (probably shouldn't admit that) on random parts and need to find an auto grease. What kind of grease do you recommend/use?
