Tuning Help 700 1990

Hi,

First, I would check to make sure your B230FT is healthy. Check the 700/900 FAQs, have a compression test done, have a Volvo mechanic check the engine over and just generally make sure the engine is ready to handle the mods. Then, if everything checks out, the fun begins!

I'd say you should start by acquireing a set of IPD (Cherry Turbo) chassis braces to stiffen the front of your Vo. Next would probably be; helping the engine breath (free flow exhaust, free flow intake). Then a Calibrated boost guage, and so on.............

Anyway, just make sure you engine is ready for these mods (except the braces of course). In my case, I know that my B230FT needs a new head gasket and a few other things (possibly a re-build) before I can start "souping it up". I think I'll probably just get my engine in top order and then install a Sabb APC or something and leave it at that. I want my B230FT to run for years to come.

Good luck and have fun!
