I agree with most of the posts. I wouldn't bother with any of the first four listed mods. IMHO, you will get the most satisfaction and noticeable improvement by upgrading the suspension. Sway bars, shocks, springs and Cherry Turbo brace kit will make your brick ride on rails! There is nothing better than the feeling of a well sorted suspension on twisty roads or even an off-ramp. Next I would let that engine breathe as freely as possible. You can either drop in a K&N or do what I did, take out the air box all together and put on a K&N cone filter. The throttle response is much improved and the turbo spools up much faster - plus I love the sound of the air rushing into the engine. One note though, if you go with the cone filter I would highly recommend a heat shield to prevent the filter from sucking in all that super-heated air, thereby negating the better flow. I know that a lot of fellow bricksters have put on a cone filter without a heat shield and then been disappointed that it little or even a negative effect. I fabricated one myself (MVP's was way too expensive) and I'm in the process of taking some pics. I'm planning on putting them in the image library (assuming I can figure out how - I'm not that computer savvy) if your are interested, let me know and I will email them to you.
Of course a free-flow exhaust will help tremendously IPD's is a lot less $$ than MVP's 3-in. Another suggestion to increase boost is a Dawes Device (www.dawesdevices.com) for $35-50 you can safely increase boost and get a lot more fun out of your turbo. But if you do that, you must have a calibrated boost gauge.
Finally, if you are doing engine mods, one of the other posts recommended making sure your engine is in top shape. You should do that and at the same time replace all the fluids so you know exactly what you started with - I would highly recommend using synthetic lubricants wherever possible. Have fun!
