Easy shift / hard shift . . . what's my next step? 200 1980

Now this will sound really goofy but has worked for me on at least two vehicles. It's not right and I assume no responsibility for the outcome. OK? Set the parking brake, put it in 4th and rev it to 2500-3500 and let the clutch out slowly. Just do this enough until you can get it in reverse without grinding. What's happening is either the heat transfers to the sticky splines or you're removing some high spots that prevented the disc from stopping rotation. I do like the penetrating oil trick the other poster mentioned too. No doubt, you like me need a clutch but it could buy a little time until the weathers better or it might finish it off completely, your call!
