For those who answered my plea for help concerning the climate control, Thanks.
I hooked up the vacum line to the heater control valve and played around with a few things, pulled the glovebox, and played with a few more things.
Neat little vaccum switch board ;).
Found the problem: The billows(for lack of a better word) that controls wether the a/c is engaged or the heat is engaged is broken. The default is full a/c, the other end of the spectrum is full heat, and vaccum determines where things lie in between(i think). Its the black circular thing with the vaccum line going in at the top. For those that know what i'm talking about, or those that have had to replace said item, Can it be replaced? it looks like, if i were to pull all that stuff out, that it would come off, but then, you hafta know the part number, go to the dealer, etc. I know where i (might) can find one at a local pick and pull, but if its a ten dollar part at the dealer(fat chance, i know, but i can hope, right? :) ) I wont bother.
On the same note, however, the heat only works through the defroster vents. I dunno if thats a related problem, something my zippie tie rigging brought about, or what. Also, some half-wit jackarse put a clip on the sensor that effectivly took it out of the loop.
On to more interesting items, the car has developed a (very) intermitant miss. could be cap/rotor, but i kinda wanna think its something else, cause the idle has jumped to 1000 as well (a/c compressor is not engaged, i disconnected it)
and sitting at a red light, occasionally it'll almost die.
At any rate, thats the state of the union at the moment.
On a more positive note, i waxed a 95 integra gs, a new ford focus, a mercury cougar, ate a v6 accord alive, and blew the paint off an early 80's prelude.(Vtec inside? hah. amatuer stuff)
all that at a cool 12 psi and 4 people in the car ;)
