Oil Leak 700 1990

I am still having issues with the oil leak in my car ('90 740 turbo) I had a new exhaust installed last weekend and it is now lined with crud, possibly oil residue. The car doesn't drip oil. It only comes up missing. It is now using about 1 qt every 100 or so miles. Atop the crankcase there has been oil a couple times. Also on the oil pump (metal cylinder near the oil filter with 2 copper lines going into it.) one of the fixtures have oil residue on it. Possibly a bad gasket? Also on the oil filter it's self there is an oil residue. Possibly from the near by pump. Dew to the heavy residue in the exhaust I am thinking that possibly a ring is bad or my cylinders might be warped not allowing a tight seal. ALTHOUGH there is no sign (smoke) that oil is being burnt.

ANY AND ALL suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks Justus
