240 carrier bearing 200

My Daughter just called with a bad carrer bearing on her 1986 244 GL. Since it's New Years Eve the only option is to get one from a parts car that's 10 miles away and she's 90 miles farther down the interstate. I'm in Buffalo so getting around is a little tricky today. (snow) My question is what are the chances that a 1987 245 and a 1986 244 have the same driveshaft? Both are Automatics (aw71??). Does anybody have an insight into this problem. I'm about to gather up the tools and a jack and am at this point confident that the driveshaft I remove will fit into the car that's broken.

Thanks
