Alternator Replacement Advise 200 1987

My alternator has been acting up.150,000 on it. I have now replaced the brushes(battery before that)....it worked fine for a couple days, but now the battery light comes on faintly then gets brighter.. then its fine for a while. Barely made it back from Wisconsin today.

So, Im ready to put a shiny new alternator down there, wondering how much and where? I checked the partsbin.com, and they have a bosch with some hubbub about contacts for batter temperature?? for $ 167.Could this really be a new unit? I prefer to order this part online if I can. Any tips, advise, or funny stories would be appreciated.

Cheers, Steve
