FM radio cuts out

I purchased my first Volvo this weekend. I am the proud owner of a 1996 960 wagon. It's a great car but I am having trouble with the FM radio cutting in and out. Sometimes I get good reception and a little static and sometimes I just get static. The CD, tape and AM work fine. Any suggestions?
