Tranny Shift Points high after rebuild 900 1994

Tranny rebuilt at 120K (5K ago) ... upshifts now are late but very crisp, even abrupt. For instance the shift to 3rd gear occurs under moderate throttle at ~45mph, later than before rebuild Also, if shifter is pushed firmly from drive up against the neutral lock out, the tranny will occasionally momentarily shift into neutral then abruptly shift back into drive. Suspect these two things are unrelated, but may indicate other potential worksmanship issues in the rebuild. Any thoughts from anyone? I intend to take this up with the shop that did the work and am looking for some technical insight.
