Rick: the 'silver tube' is your 'pre-heater' duct, and unless you live in extremely cold area, most Bricksters (AND mechanics) suggest removing it/leaving it off altogether; it is not necessary for summertime operation at all. I am sure that some other helpful soul will send you some enlightenment as to the components that you listed.Good Luck, and Happy New Year.--PD (PS, there is a small 'pocket reference' type book that you can buy from Volvo dealers that lists a lot, if not all, of the information that you are seeking, and it costs +/- $10.00US; it includes torques, bulb sizes, valve clearances, etc., for your car.)
