Radiator pressure plugg?? 200 1982

While swapping the battery in my wife's 240 the other day I did a basic fluids check and noticed that there was a huge gaping hole in the radiator. It is/was some sort of pressure regulating plug I'm guessing. On the passenger side of the radiator, opening rearward.

There was still fluid in there, in-spite of her remembering "oh yeah, I did hear a hissing/steaming sound the other day when I parked..." So I'm hoping the engine isn't toast, but now I need to find out what to stick in this hole.

None of my hoses have gone awry and there's no flange on the hole. It's about the size of a wine cork (don't ask...), so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Laurence
