Incredibly hard to cold start 142 140-160 1972

I'm not real hip on the fuel injection possibilities...Lee's suggestion is a good one though. I've never had a problem with the injected cars starting right up right away...

Couple basics though... What oil do you have in there. You don't want anything thicker than 10w-40. If you've got something thicker in there, it will definitely be sluggish to crank and start, not to mention its hard on your starter.

The other thing that I do when its really cold and I have a sluggish car...take the battery in the house at night. I forget the actual figures, but a warm battery is much, much, much stonger than a cold one. perhaps twice the power...give or take. Doing that in my '65 1800 seems to work about as well as a block heater. Big difference! Granted, that sounds like a hassle, but its a lot easier than finding a jumpstart every morning....

Of course, you say its getting below 30 at night....and I'm talking below zero, so I would wager to guess that something ain't right....but like I said, that is someone else's area of expertise.
