Pull to the right when braking, cause? 700 1985

John:

Thanks, but I think the calipers are fine. The front ones were rebuilt not too long ago, and there has been no trouble prior to this to indicate some faulty caliper or installation.

I failed to indicate that the "continual squeal" I mentioned is only continual when the brakes are applied (i.e., the brakes almost always squeal when you brake"), and not all the time.

One last question: did volvo build the same car at the same time with different brake systems? doesn't this seem a little bit wierd? I imagine I should just be able to use model, year, and production site to ascertain the brakes, although I would obviously verify this against the brakes on the car.

Thanks again,
Rick
