gunk on my oil filler cap

I just drove my 164 from los angeles to san francisco.
It's been raining quite a lot, to the point where there
are small trees growing out of convertibles and grass is
growing on the rusty roofs of VW camper-vans.

I drove my car up here, parked it, left it for a night,
drove it for about 10 minutes the next day, and when I
went to top it up with oil there was this tan goop on
the oil filler cap; it looked like the oil was emulsified
with water.

I topped the car up with amsoil 5/30, it used about
a quart on the way up here, and am planning on topping it
off with mobil 1 5/30 prior to driving home. Will the
drive home get rid of this? Is the rest of my oil in
the sump like this as well?
chris
