122 won't start

Two things to check:
correct point gap with the point's rubbing block on the point of the distributor cam,
and the wire connection that goes through the distributor body. This could chafe and cause the points to ground out. Very troublesome to find: there should be some kind of insulating strip/grommet arrangement to prevent this from happening. Make sure it is intact. Got a shop manual for reference?
