Which brick? S90-V90 1998

I wouldn't consider any S or V90 unless of course it was free and then I'd have to think seriously about it. I can only speak from my experience with the 90 series and in my case the car was a nightmare. The '98 S90 I had has effectively made me choose to go Japanese after 33 years of Volvo ownership. Had a 740 that was great and I don't think you can go wrong with a 940 since it is essentially the same car. I would check the 940T service records very closely since turbo engines should have more frequent oil changes than non-turbo versions.
