Desperate. 760 Turbo intermittent power loss 700 1988

Ok, I have an intermittent loss of power and the problem is
difficult to locate. The care is a 760 Turbo, 88, with LH Jetronic
injection system. What happens is this, first drive is typically
ok. But if the engine is shut off from anywhere between 5 minutes to
an hour, there will be absolutely no power. I mean, it may stumble
and the maximum speed my be 45 and it will take half a mile to work
work it up to that. Then, after between 2 and 5 minutes, the power
will come back and usually remain until the engine is shut down
again. During the course of troubleshooting, I've replaced the
fuel pressure regulator which wasn't the problem. The in-tank pump
was replaced but didn't solve the problem even though it was
definitely bad. The rubber hose inside the tank was ok. I will
be checking the injection relay but my previous experience is that
this will cause the engine to cut out completely. The wire element
in the Air Mass meter looks fine and so does the connection. I've
replace the thermo sensor for the ECU.

Is there a way to read error codes on the LH 2.x ECU? If so, where
is the connector located and what is the process? I really need help
here.
