I need your opinions 200 1989

Well, i'm finally getting my brick painted. I'm going from the standard, now faded maroon, to a nice slick black. What i need to know is, do you think it would look cool if i took out the grill and painted the ribs white and the little vent on the rear passenger side (i have a wagon)? Sort of a white on black deal going on. If so, how would i go about painting these? Spray paint? Or is there some special type of paint that I should use to do this job. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
