I presume you mention WD40 because of the reference in the Choke article...I've never been a big fan of WD40 anyway, because it only works OK right now, and I've never seen it leave much behind at all after a week or longer (and that's usually what I want when I lube something - I want it to STAY lubed!), let alone a gummy/tacky goop. That's very interesting...I'll take your suggestion and do a little test...I'll let you know what I find.

...just asking (because you know it contains DMSO, an strong solvent), but you didn't spray it into a styrofoam cup did you?
