my 1st accident 200 1988

Hi all.

Well today I was involved in my 1st car accident. This is how it happened. I was driving eastbound on washington st.(in downtown Chicago). This guy in front of me wanted to make a right turn onto Canal st. Canal st. is a one way going north. So this guy proceeds to making his right turn but then he realizes that Canal goes one way and decides to make a u-turn to go the right way. Now he did all this without even stopping his car. By this time I'm already in the middle of the intersection then Wham I locked the brakes and I popped 'em. He was driving a 2001 ford focus. The damage to my wagon is the passenger side frt turn signal assy.including head light frt. 1/4 panel ,and a small bend at the corner of the hood. I think I broke his rear axle. A large dent in the door over the rear wheel. The guy does have insurance.I have liability ins. The guy did admit that he was at fault. Police did show up.Don't know if he told the police he was at fault. I am hoping I can get "blkberry" back to it's orignal shape. I guess I will have more info. tomorrow. Is there anything else I should do? I can tell you ONE thing tho. these cars, ESP. 240 Series, are made like no other. You can't go wrong with a VOLVO. Thanks for any advice on this situation.Brenton
