Taking '82 240 on Long Journey -- Wife nervous 200 1982

I bought my first Volvo, an 82 DL Sedan about 8 months ago. Had 120k on it, had great compression, didnt burn oil, and trans felt real solid so i bought it. Probably the best 1,100 I ever spent. Anyway, my wife and I are planning a trip from Wisconsin to Florida in a few months and she is very nervous about taking a 20 year old car cross country. Alternatives? 1993 Plymouth Voyager... I know, I am looking for a wagon as we speak. The idea of driving a 20 year old car across the US personally excites me! Here is what I have done so far, what else should I do/check to ensure a trouble free trip, and appease the wife?

regular oil changes
Air Filter
Exhaust - cat back
Replace majority of vacuum lines
Replace Flame Trap
Replace Rear Diff Oil
Flush/Fill Coolant
PS Pump, alternator, AC Compressor bushings
Fuel Filter

BTW, the car hasnt given me one lick of trouble to date

Thanks for the help!

Matt
