7 series problems 700

I have purchased 6 used Volvos,4 of them 740's.

One think that you must get used to is that these cars cost more than almost all American cars of the same vintage. They were expensive when they were new, and new parts, which are of high quality, are expensive now.

Fortunately the parts age well, and if you have a good salvage yard nearby, and you have some mechanical ability, Volvos can be repaired for reasonable money. If you cannot repair some stuff yourself, or don't have a friend to help, repairs are expensive.

I'll probably never buy anything but a Volvo in the future.

If you can find one in decent shape body-wise, I say go for it.
