flame trap/pcv on 240 dl

Some of it depends on how flexible and/or thin you are.

Personally, I find it almost as easy to go around the back of the intake manifold as to go from the front.

But the universal "easiest way" is to take off the distributor cap and move it aside with the wires attached. Then go from the front and pull it out. using a long screwdriver from the top between the intake runners will help to seat it back in it's proper location, with a little guidance from your hand.

Additionally, a flame trap relocation kit is available on the aftermarket. It puts the flame trap in a more accessible location as it is equipped from the factory in the 89 and up B230 engines.

Hopefully this will help you out a little bit. Most importantly, remember that the first time you do it will take forever. The subsequent times will probably be five minute jobs.
