Blows hot when set for cool......after thermostat replaced. Help Please. 200 1985

Puzzling to be sure. The thermostat does nothing except trap water in the engine block while it warming to operating temperature and then opens to allow to allow water to circulate to remove engine heat. A separate valve, opened and closed by sliding our heater control back and forth in the car, allows circulated engine coolant into the heater core (from where the hot air comes from). So, somehow your heater core valve is remaining open, but I don't believe it has anything to do with your thermostat renewal. I would try to find where the control valve is to the heater core. It has to be somewhere at the other end of the cable from the slider temperature controller in the car. Try to follow the cable and watch what moves sliding it from cool to hot.
