CDI breakerless ignition 140-160 1973

I installed the Crane XR 700 in my 72 164 and its fine. It just eliminates fooling around with points and it tolerates a somewhat worn distributor. JC Whitney has it in their catalog at lower price than IPD. I have been told that the unit has a life expectancy of at least 50K but its unclear how much more than that. Anyway, its working even in stop and go traffic so mileage isnt the only factor. With that in mind, I would opt for a new unit rather than a used one.
