howling driveline banshees 200

A few days ago I started getting that howling banshees noise from the driveshaft area between the front seats of my 84 244. It also happened last winter for a bit but went away. The noise happens whenever the car is rolling with clutch in or out. Suspecting the driveshaft support bearing I crawled under and noticed that the rubber boot was split. I shot it full of white lithium spray grease and the banshees immediately left. Now I'll have time to order a new bearing and boot.
