Can I install an AW71 transmission in place of an AW70 transmission? 700

Hey Brickers!

I have the chance to buy an AW71 transmission from a 1986 745 to replace an ailing AW70 in a 1989 740.

Can I remove the AW70 transmission in the 1989 car and replace it cleanly with the AW71 from the 1986 745? Are there any quirky bugs in doing this?
