Steering Rack problem??? 200

My car (81 240) drives nice and straight if I hold the wheel straight, otherwise it wants to go left. I just replaced the front bushings and ball joints -- no change, also no odd tire wear. I suspect the rack because the car is very easy to turn left while normal effort is needed to turn right. I'm thinking that a pressure imbalance in the rack is causing this. I would appreciate some input before I throw money at this problem. This car is new to me and I love how easy it is to work on (if it would only go straight.)
