CAR WON'T RUN 700 1986

I sympathize with you. Alot of responses and replies to your post but not many giving you advice on your particular problem.

Anyway here's my take on your probblem. If you have a hole in any one of your hoses you will definately have a vacuum leak. You can tell from your boost guage. Have you noticed your boost guage needle jumping up and down at idle. Or have you noticed that the needle has changed its normal position at idle. A car with a good vacuum will have a steady needle with a reading of 21 inches of Hg(Mercury). Does the car reach boost when your on the throttle. If your needle never reaches the red portion of the guage and you have determined that there is no vacuum leak and there are no holes in any of the hoses then the turbo is the culprit. You mentioned you don't hear the whinning noise on the turbo. It could mean that the turbo impeller isn't turning much at all. Good Luck!
