Were the gauge clusters on the 240's always lit by floodlight or did the later ones have backlit insturmentation? The reason I ask is this....my 84' 244 has lousy dash lighting at night. My 89's, while better, is still not as bright as I like. The 84' uses sort of a green floodlight while the 89's is more of an amber color. Is there any (read: EASY) way to do backlighting on these gauges? Id not, is there any way to buy a more powerful floodlight system? If you know of anyone that can do this, I live in NJ. Thanks again!
