Unknown Noise from 940GL 900 1992

Recently, I had my 164,000 check-up and all went well. However, I now notice a sound coming from the engine, transmition, or exhaust (a sound which may have existed prior to the check-up, but I notice it now.)

When driving at low speeds, I hear a noise that eminates from the front half of the car. It sounds like this: "BO-BO-BO-BO-BO-BO-BO-BO-BO...", and continues all the time when in gear. (It reminds me of the sound heard from an old VW beetle when it drives by.)

I feel embarrassed to go back to the dealer with this question, especially since the car is running very well. It may be a normal sound; I don't know.

Regards,
Robert
