flushing and clean out of brake system 140-160

I am presently involved in a major brake job on my 73 144. I will be using dot 5 silicon fluid to fill the system when I am done. In the past fluid conversions that I have done ( last one about 8 years ago) I had followed flushing instructions in the 74 factory service manual to use methylated spirit, with good results but I no longer have any of this product and the pharmacys that I have asked about getting some more say they can not get it any more? Anyone know of another name for this type of denatured alcohol or a source of supply? Thanks
