Looking at purchasing an 89 240 wgn, things to look for?? 200

I am looking at a major purchase here, for me anyway. I have spent less than $1000 for all of my previous volvos, and have not been disappointed. I bought an 82 DL w/ 120k on it 1 year ago and it has been a dream, I recently bought a '87 760T for $600!!!, wouldnt start when I purchased it,installed new power stage, sold for nice profit!!

Now I am looking at an 89 240 Wagon w/ 130k. The seller is asking 3400 but says he is negotiable. According to the seller, it doesnt leak or burn oil, no rust, and has been regulary manitained by an independent Volvo mechanic w/ 20+ years experience. Given my past experiences, I probably shouldnt be so nervous about making this plunge, but I am.

What can/should I check before purchasing this vehicle, besides checking the fluids and road testing it.

Thanks in advance!

Matt
