Well, the first two replies got you pretty well covered... Indeed, '68 was the first year for the dual circuit brakes, and I suppose many manuals wouldn't recognize the system, since they changed again in '70 I think. But, your brakes work now, right? Great!

And you need a valve adjustment.. No biggie.... George has the specs right I assume...he knows all that stuff.

But...
Water in the gas is a pain in the a**. (yea, I'm a poet too)

Its a stupid design. The fuel filler is at the bottom of a gutter between the fin and the trunk lid as you know. Of course, all the water from a rain storm runs right down there. If you open the fuel filler door, you will find a drain tube at the bottom that runs through the trunk and empties under the car. Make sure it's not plugged up. And check it often! Otherwise, you'll have water at the bottom of the tank every time you get a little rain or snow....and that sucks!
