I could just cry! 200 1993

6 months ago, I bought my dream car: a blue 93 240 (sedan), complete with cd player and alarm for 5500. Slammin' price I thought - sure it needed a bit of work, but all cars do.

So I took it home and treated it like a baby, garaging it and washing it weely. Then last week, I'm driving home from work and hit a patch of black ice - out of nowhere. Lose control of the car, slam into an embankment and flip over. Naturally, it being a volvo, there's not a scratch on me. Sadly, that's not the case for the car.

I'm still anxiously awaiting the ins. co to appraise it and afraid they're gonna total it. Most of the damage it on the roof - Iooks like the point of impact was the drivers side as that part is quite a bit dented in. There is also some damage to the the passenger side roof and the passenger side front end - headlight area. Windshield is cracked, driver window is off track and door won't completly open or close (due to the roof). Also, and I don't know how, the rear bumper seems to be hanging a bit.

I know this is really desperate, but does anyone have a clue as to how much monetary damge this translates into. You know, just ballpark. It's been practically a week, and I can't stand the wait anymore!

Thanks!

Amy (Cape Cod, MA)
