dropping the crossmember & suspension trivia 120-130

I am stalled on a Saturday...Replacing the crossmember has become part of my bushing job. What is a good way to hold the engine up without damaging anything(driveline, oilpan, tranny seals)? I am positioning jacks under the engine mounts but anticipate some movement and twisting before they fully take up the load. Would a block under the bellhousing be safe? Thanks!

While I am here....and under there I am upgrading and replacing as much as I can afford. I plan on putting on the ipd swaybars...how do wider wheels affect handling and ride quality? If I dont get to all this now....what changes or work up front requires having the car aligned?
