My ignition lock cylinder has split...what shall I do? 140-160 1972

I think you can still get new ones but you have to buy the whole assembly and they are expensive. As Bram says, your best bet is to get one from a parts car. Bear in mind that you will have to drill out the bolts to get it off. You should replace it as soon as possible as the next thing that is going to happen is the key won't turn at all and you will be stuck. At least that's what happened to me.
