Tree sap 900 1994

Just bought a '94 940 turbo wagon, which so far is pretty nice, apart from a slight noise when the A/C is running. Was owned by the proverbial "little old lady", who parked it under trees. Anyone any ideas part from a repaint, how to get rid of tree sap marks, which appear to have eaten through the clear coat. Have tried various "scratch" removers, and Meguires clay, with little or no effect.
Also anyone know a good Volvo shop in the Cocoa/Melbourne, Florida area.
