I agree with Bob, a bunch of good advice there.

Also, do a quick check on the seal at the back of the head. This is known to cause problems. On the back of the head, facing the firewall, there should be a large rubber plug that is flat with the engine. Sometimes, often because of a clogged PCV system, this plug can pop out, and the oil leak is very large.

It is easy to check, just check for a large oil mess at the rear of your engine, near the top. If it's pretty clean here, then I would suspect the rear main seal like Bob said.
