Dexcool Problems in GM Vehicles

One thing I have noticed from using Dexcool, compared with green Prestone, is superb water pump life. I have had NO water pump failures, and a couple of the cars are getting up to about 180,000 miles.

But I agree: perhaps we need to investigate these coolants a little more. My only constraint is that my local dealer charges $30 per gallon for Volvo coolant, and nobody will ship it in by UPS from elsewhere. So I've got to get an alternative.
