Help troubeshooting hesitation problem 700

1986 765T 201555 miles
I am still troubleshooting a hesitation problem. Here are the symptoms:

- Hesitates when foot removed from accelerator when intake manifold reaches 0 to ~1" Hg [acts like no spark for a second or fuel momentarily shut off]
- NOT a random problem, very repeatable
- Fuel pressure regulator good
- CBV tested good
- New knock sensor (helped over all performance but didn't fix problem)
- Has to be a sudden change in accelerator position to make it happen. It won't occur on gradual deceleration

I am going to check the O2 sensor next then start running down all the Green Book tests. I have been through the 700 FAQ. Very annoying. Any ideas would be appreciated.
