240 Engine Vibration (1991) 200

This vibration is like a wezzzzzz. Its constant at low or high speed. And it seems to come from the power steering unit. You can feel it in the steering wheel as a vibration, not a wobble. Under the hood you can feel the power steering pump vibrate something feerce. A mechanic showed me the rubber vib dampers at the mounting points. I thought these pumps hardly ever went bad. Maybe it needs an oil change (the pump). This car is otherwise in primo condition, with 87,000 miles. The vib has been there since I bought the car at 53,000 miles. I love this car. Any Ideas?
