Hi,
I finally figured out how I'm gonna rebuild the brakes of my '65 120 sedan. At first I thought of using a B20 double circuit master cylinder, with one line going to the back and the oter one to the front, using 68 rear wheel cylinders & 65 callipers. Could't make sure the parts were matchable. If any one can provide info, welcome.
So I'm now out for putting a system similar to the 66 122s's: single circuit, brake valve out of a 66 wagon, 65 callipers, 65 master cykinder. The Volvo parts catalogue shows all these match. Question is then: I have 2 new rear cylinder in store, but for a '68 model. I've heard that the 68 brake system was different from the other years, so can my cylinders (7/8') do the job, or should I get two 1' cylinders ('65-'66 models) ? Will the difference be that big, since the master cylinder hasn't changed on all the B18 versions? One more word about the callipers. The VOlvo catalogue tells they changed at the end of the '66 series (part n°670424/% to n°670728/9). Are these interchangeable?
Thanks to any guru or volvo enthuisiast who can provide any help!
