front seats from 93 fit in an 87? (question from the cryer) 200 1987

Hi again....thanks for all your advice/words of support after I totalled my 93.

I actually had a spare 87 hanging around for about a year and finally got rid of it about a month ago. Didn't run and I thought I'd have my 93 for a LONG time. Anyway, I called the guy I sold it to (he buys broken volvos cheap, fixes 'em and sells them for a proftt) and he had just finished fixing it up and said I could have it back for 2K. It's a good deal. I won't get into the details, but he did a lot of work (replace the blower fan, new breaks all around, fuel pump issues, timing belt....etc.) Body is in great condition too.

He also wants to find out what the buyback price is from the ins. co and get that one to have for parts. If he does that, he said he'd even take out my cd player and install it in the 87 for me. If he does that, the only problem with the car is that the front seats aren't as comfy as they should be.

Would my 93 seats fit in my 87? They both have blue interiors (slighly differnent blue, but not enough to cry over). If so, how much should I expect to pay my mechanic for them (seeing that they'll be his after he buys the car from the insurance company) and how much should I expect to pay for installation?

I've checked IPD about seat replacements, but it's kind of confusing with all the parts and way more expensive than I'd like.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Amy
